PLAY

PLAY

Play

Is the colour of play a summer's day sunrise?

Or a cloudless January day?

Create to make to start the day

To begin the night

The meaning of play:

To not stop, to bet or to gamble,

To crack some eggs.

A bright spark;

To create an action.

Press Play.

Make the picture move

Bring motion into play, into the day,

Today.

Roll the dice and take part in the game.

Old English: ‘to exercise’

Intrinsinically motivated.

Lights turning on,

The spotlight turned off,

Come into play.

Go out to drink it all in.

Play a part

Feel free

Play to indulge the path less travelled

The adventurer within.

Be part of a team,

Find your position,

Memento Mori.

To perform in and on,

Out in front .

Make play within,

Strike and execute.

All of life is but a stage,

To join in

And jump on.

Engage in activity

For enjoyment, for recreation

Rather than a serious or

Practical purpose

Purposefully play.

Move the counter on the board,

Play fast and loose,

Vs play the rules.

Set your guidelines,

In your chosen playground.

Play it cool and sometimes play to win.

Stage the play,

And mould the clay,

Make great play of the act.

Don’t stop.

Own a moment for yourself.

From Middle Dutch: ‘Plesen’

Leap for joy,

Dance, toy and press the button,

To hear a voice.

To not overthink,

To the point of inaction

Play = Action

Feeling sand and grass and fire and water and earth.

Give rise to the idea,

Let it play out

Bring into play

Others

Maybe play into someone’s hands,

Non-literal.

Focused on means, rather than ends.

Fundamentally give something a go,

Pressing play.

Shake up a nervous mind,

Move lightly and quickly,

So as to appear and disappear: flicker.

Free from externally imposed rules.
